Fill Your Life with the RIGHT People

I have been thinking a lot about my life lately... maybe because February is my birthday month. Another year old. As I move forward in life, I tend to reflect a lot more.

I realize how important it is to have mutually beneficial relationships. I tell you I have spent years in relationships that did nothing to serve me. Always looking for the approval of others so I could feel good about myself. If it isn’t a two way relationship find your way out of it, no matter how hard it is to do.

God will not leave you alone if you don’t want to be. I have friends that I considered ‘best friends’ for over 20 years who refused to ever listen to my podcast because the introduction uses the word “Spiritual”. Because of the assumption about the podcast, they have also never read my book. Nor have they ever asked me about my coaching practice or anything about my new and improved life.

You guessed correctly, I have spent very little time with them over the past few years. It took me a slap in the face like that to see that they do not support my growth. It still hurts because we have a lot of fun together and had been through a lot of good times and bad. I love them but I cannot spend my time with people who do not respect me enough to ask; or curious enough to check it out.

It is important to fill your life with people who are cheerleaders and encouragers. If they can't be that when you need them, then they are just a distraction.

You can’t live on purpose and drag other people along who don’t want to take the journey with you. Fill your life with those who will support you. They are out there, looking for a friend like you.

Live every day on purpose,

Peggy Romero
